DOUGLAS CHIKOHORA
Douglas has over 30 years’ experience in the mining sector and has been responsible for identifying and developing some of the largest gold deposits in various parts of Africa. He is a director of the Business Council for Africa (BCA) and has been a director of a number of AIM listed companies. He is a qualified Chartered Engineer who took up his first position in 1981 joining the Buchwa Mine. In 1984, he joined RTZ in Zimbabwe before moving to Cluff Resources in 1987 where he helped develop the Ayanfuri Mine in Ghana, West Africa. In 1996, he was appointed Managing Director of Cluff Mining (West Africa) Ltd and in 2004 he became Technical Director of Cluff Gold plc. In 2010 he cofounded Cluff Africa Associates (CAA) where he is the Chief Executive Officer. He is a qualified Chartered Engineer who holds an MSc degree from the Royal School Mines and is a member of IMMM.
MARK JONES
A graduate of the Camborne School of Mines, Mark is a mining engineer with
over 30 years’ experience in mining production and associated businesses including
explosives and heavy industrial equipment, over 20 of them in Africa. His global exposure to
mining spans all continents, with specific expertise in gold and base metals in Europe, West
Africa, Zimbabwe, South Africa and the former Soviet Union. Mark has an MBA and is the
founder and CEO of African Mining and Exploration plc. Mark also holds non-executive
directorships in Aurum Mining plc, Tulpar Gold plc and Antracor Mining Ltd. Mark has extensive management, marketing and commercial experience and strong production, engineering and financial knowledge.
